SF State: On Strike
SF State: On Strike is a stop motion animated short film exploring concepts in visual storytelling. The film highlights SF State’s modern history of student-led protest and community organizing beginning with the 1968 Third World Liberation Front Strikes, the longest student led strike in U.S. history. It is part of a larger project of pieces about Spatial Narratives and grassroots, community movements in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The film was animated by hand over the course of a week and edited and assembled in Adobe Premiere and After Effects. Research, archived clips and images we’re sourced from SF State’s Strike Collection and intertwined with the animated footage.
